1. About Gondu

Gondu is a marketplace that connects independent buyers and sellers of pre-owned and other permitted items in the Maldives.

Gondu does not own the items listed by users and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers unless we specifically state otherwise.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating and using your account.

You are responsible for keeping your login information private and for activity carried out through your account.

You must not:

• create an account using another person's identity;
• submit another person's National ID or information without authorization;
• impersonate another person;
• use Gondu for fraud or scams; or
• attempt to access another user's account.

3. Identity Verification

Gondu may request identity information to verify sellers and help reduce fraud.

A Verified status means Gondu has completed its identity-verification process. It does not mean Gondu guarantees that the seller is trustworthy or guarantees any transaction.

Submitting false, stolen or misleading identity information may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

4. Listings

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate and that they have the legal right to sell the advertised item.

Users must not list illegal, stolen, fraudulent, counterfeit or otherwise prohibited items.

Gondu may review, reject, hide or remove listings that violate these Terms or may create a safety, fraud or legal concern.

5. Buying and Selling

Buyers and sellers are responsible for deciding whether to proceed with a transaction.

Unless Gondu specifically provides a service stating otherwise, buyers and sellers are responsible for:

• agreeing on the price;
• making and receiving payment;
• inspecting the item;
• confirming its condition;
• arranging collection or delivery; and
• resolving issues relating to the transaction.

Users should take reasonable precautions before sending money or handing over an item.

6. Disputes and Scams

Gondu is not responsible for resolving private payment, delivery, product-condition or other disputes between independent buyers and sellers, except where required by applicable law.

However, users may report suspected scams, fraud, unsafe listings or misuse to Gondu.

Gondu may investigate reports, preserve relevant account records, remove listings, restrict accounts or suspend users where appropriate.

Where legally required or permitted, Gondu may cooperate with the Maldives Police Service, courts or other competent authorities.

Gondu will not ordinarily provide one user's private identity information directly to another user merely because a dispute has occurred.

7. Item Location

Gondu may allow sellers to provide the general location of an item.

Gondu does not require users to publicly provide their home address or live GPS location for ordinary marketplace listings.

Users should use caution when arranging in-person meetings and choose an appropriate meeting location.

8. No Transaction Guarantee

Gondu cannot guarantee:

• that every user will behave honestly;
• that every listing is accurate;
• the quality or condition of an item;
• that a buyer will make payment;
• that a seller will deliver an item; or
• that a transaction will be completed successfully.

Identity verification is intended to help improve platform safety but does not eliminate the possibility of fraud.

9. Account Suspension or Removal

Gondu may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that:

• violate these Terms;
• engage in suspected fraud or scams;
• submit false identity information;
• repeatedly post prohibited or misleading listings;
• threaten or harm other users;
• misuse Gondu; or
• attempt to compromise the security of the platform.

10. Platform Security

Users must not attempt to hack, damage, interfere with, reverse-engineer, exploit vulnerabilities in, or gain unauthorized access to Gondu, its accounts, servers or databases.

Gondu takes reasonable measures to protect the platform and user information, but no internet-based service can guarantee complete protection against every cyberattack or security incident.

11. Privacy

Gondu collects and uses personal information as explained in the Gondu Privacy Policy.

By using Gondu, you acknowledge that your information will be handled according to that Privacy Policy.

12. User Content

Users are responsible for the photographs, descriptions and other content they upload to Gondu.

By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it does not unlawfully violate another person's rights.

13. Changes to Gondu

Gondu may update, modify, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or operation of the platform.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Maldives.

Nothing in these Terms removes any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded under Maldivian law.
